KILLEEN, Texas — Central Texas College is celebrating the graduation of two dozen new cadets from its Police Academy.
The college said 24 cadets graduated from the academy on Friday, Sept. 12, marking the official beginning of their careers as peace officers.
CTC recognized the graduates at a ceremony, celebrating their "hard work, discipline and determination," the school said.
“They’ve come a long way. We started 24 weeks ago,” said Clifton Osborne, CTC Police Academy Training Coordinator. “They all pushed themselves, and they worked together.”
Texas A&M University-Central Texas Police Chief Andrew Flores spoke at the graduation, congratulating the cadets on their accomplishment and offering words of encouragement.
