LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - Three people, including a child, are left in critical condition after crashing into a pole near central Laredo.

On Friday, September 12, the Laredo Fire Department reported that rescue teams responded to the 100 block of W. Saunders St. after receiving reports of a car crashing into a pole.

The department reports that one ambulance transported both a 33-year-old male driver and a 9-year-old male to Laredo Medical Center (LMC) with multiple injuries, both in critical condition.

Moreover, LFD successfully freed a female passenger who had been trapped under the dashboard. She suffered multiple injuries and was in critical condition, and was transported to Doctors Hospital.

Reports indicate that the Laredo Police Department remained on the scene.
