BOYLE COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - A Garrard County man has retained an attorney after receiving eight charges from a traffic stop.

Attorney Ephraim Helton says his client was arrested by a Kentucky State Police trooper using excessive force following a traffic stop.

The arrest citation says Helton’s client, Devin Langsdorf, was driving 86 mph in a 55 mph zone.

His eight charges include speeding 26 mph or greater over the speed limit, reckless driving, failure to produce an insurance card, failure of the owner to maintain required insurance, first offense, disorderly conduct 2nd degree, resisting arrest, no registration receipt and endangering the welfare of a minor.

Helton says his client admits to speeding but denies the other seven charges.
