B&M bosses have dismissed rumours a Leicestershire store was set to close. Speculation had emerged about the future of the store online, but officials have dismissed any potential closure.

The rumours had suggested that B&M's store in Castle Street, in Hinckley town centre , was set to close at the end of its current lease. According to posts, that would see the store close in "around two years time".

The initial post led to a series of responses from unhappy shoppers. One said B&M "should have kept" the Castle Street store, while B&M's second Hinckley branch, in Hawley Road, "should have been a Home Bargains" store instead.

However, a B&M spokesperson has dismissed the rumours, telling LeicestershireLive this is not the case. They said: "There is no truth to this."
