Five brands of bacon were put to the test

Bacon roll or sandwich? There are so many factors to consider even though it's a simple snack. Sliced bread or cob? Should it be buttered? Ketchup or brown sauce ?

But most important of all is the filling. Back bacon or streaky, smoked or unsmoked? Personally, I'd go with a cob, buttered, brown sauce with rashers of back bacon. It's got to be juicy, crispy around the edges and salty

I put five different well-known brands of unsmoked back bacon to the test to see if there was a clear winner out of Tesco , Aldi , M&S, the Jolly Hog and Cole Valley.
