ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. —
The man accused of kidnapping a UPS driver and leading deputies on a car chase has been released from jail.
Online records show Mukhammed-Emin Idrisov, 35, was released from the Metropolitan Detention Center on Sept. 11, just four days after being arrested by the Bernalillo County Sheriff's Office.
Court documents show that on Sept. 8, a UPS driver was on his route in Tohajiilee when a man in a truck began swerving in front of him and told the driver to pull over. The driver told investigators, Idrisov told him someone was trying to kill him. The driver then called for help, and as he was on the phone with an emergency dispatcher, Idrisov allegedly got into his delivery truck and told him to drive more than 40 miles into Albuquerque.
