Riverside overcame a pair of 21-point deficits to defeat Clint, 54-35, on Friday night in the District 1-4A, Division 1 opener for both teams at Clint High School.
Riverside quarterback Carlos Rojas threw three touchdown passes and rushed for five touchdowns. The Rangers are 2-1 overall and Clint is 0-3.
Riverside recovered two Clint fumbles in the second half and did not allow any points.
Clint led 35-20 at the half, scoring on five of its six possessions. The Lions also intercepted two passes.
