JENKS — Jenks made a statement Friday that its Class 6AI showdown with top-ranked Bixby in two weeks has the potential to be a classic.

Landon Kizzar passed for four touchdowns as the Trojans steamrolled traditional rival Union 48-30 in the MidFirst Bank Backyard Bowl that wasn't as close, for most of the night, as the final score.

Kizzar had another very efficient game for Jenks as he completed 15-of-20 passes for 287 yards. Kailib Dillard had five catches for 168 yards and two TDs.

Second-ranked Jenks, after its upcoming bye week, will have a 3-0 record when it hosts Bixby in a District 6AI-1 opener on Sept. 26.
