I asked back in July for your nominations for our annual Tulsans of the Year issue that is set for December.

I appreciate all the emails. It’s now time to yell “last call.”

The newsroom gathers input from the community each year and also makes its own picks in this yearly ritual. We are looking for the people who are moving things, making things happen.

This is a hard job each year because we have so many people doing things that not only make news locally but also nationally.

Last year, we honored people such as Sterlin Harjo, who was named for the second time for his imagination and the resulting TV shows that received critical acclaim. Might he go for three with “The Lowdown” premiering soon?
