Bishop Kelley's defense made key adjustments to stop Springdale's vaunted rushing attack Friday night, and the Comets' offense took advantage.

R.J. Woody had five catches for 140 yards receiving with one touchdown while quarterback Max Gipson accounted for 268 yards and two TDs in the Class 5A No. 9 Comets' 24-14 victory over 7A Springdale (Arkansas) at Angelo Prassa Field.

After a record-setting rushing performance last week, Springdale started off Friday night looking like it would continue its ground excellence.
