The town council plowed its way through a marathon session Tuesday night, Sept. 9, touching on an array of items over the course of some four-and-a-half hours.

The bulk of the meeting was spent on two topics: complaints from neighbors of the La Piñata Restaurant regarding loud music and on a proposal by Council President Joseph DePasquale to plant a new grove of trees for shade at Burr's Hill Park.

Before and after those talks, however, there was some other noteworthy items broached by the body.

The most impactful immediately on residents in the near term is a new daily hours of operations schedule for employees at town hall, negotiated as part of recent contractual agreements made with employees there. The schedule will initially be followed on a six-month trial basis, as
