The Battle @ Ocean County Park was Leah Starkey’s first- ever high school cross-country meet last fall.

Coming into her freshman year with plenty of hype after an outstanding middle school career, Starkey put the entire N.J. cross-country scene on notice by running 11:50 to win the freshman two-mile.
