Justin Carbonneau scored the game-winning goal with 1:22 left in the third period as the Blues beat the Wild 6-4 in a back-and-forth opening game of the Tom Kurvers Prospect Showcase on Saturday night at TRIA Rink in St. Paul.

Carbonneau, the Blues' 2025 first-round pick, finished a feed from Otto Stenberg at the side of the net, breaking a 4-4 tie and lifting the Blues past Minnesota. Dalibor Dvorsky, Adam Jiricek, Adam Jecho, Aleksanteri Kaskimaki (power play) and Simon Robertsson (empty-net) also scored for the Blues.

Goaltender Will Cranley was credited with 24 saves.

The Blues jumped out to a 2-0 lead just 5:36 into the game, as Dvorsky scored on a Stenberg rebound at 3:55 and then Jiricek's one-timer from the point gave the Blues a two-goal cushion.
