BLOOMINGTON — Indiana football changed up its starting offensive line on Friday night in a 73-0 win over Indiana State with Zen Michaelski replacing Kahlil Benson at right tackle.
It wasn't a permanent change.
Indiana coach Curt Cignetti told reporters after the game that Benson was "not available" in the first half for an unspecified violation of team rules and regulations. Benson played alongside the other starters in the third quarter before Cignetti emptied his bench in a blowout victory over the Sycamores.
Benson won the starting job for the No. 19 Hoosiers (3-0) over Michalski coming out of fall camp.
He had an experience advantage (21 career starts) over the Ohio State transfer and was already familiar with offensive line coach Bob Bostad from having started all 12 games f
