NANTICOKE — Tunkhannock was dealt a blow right from their first offensive play of the night: halfback Andrew Lupinski came up limping after a short swing pass, and was done for the night.
The Tigers regrouped, kept pounding the ball and ran away with the win in their Division 1 opener.
Lucas Ciprich ran for 166 yards and two touchdowns as Tunkhannock rolled to a 42-6 victory over Nanticoke Area at Frank Chicknoski Stadium on Friday night.
Ciprich and Lupinski operated as a pretty even backfield tandem through the team’s first three games, but Ciprich stepped up to shoulder a bigger load and delivered in a major way for the Tigers.
