A lawyer has revealed a courtroom tactic that he claims offers an "instant way to spot a liar." The advice was shared by Mike Mandell , a US-based lawyer and Duke Law Graduate with over 11 million followers on his TikTok account @lawbymike. ‌

In a viral post, the expert revealed a method that he recommends for spotting liars, using a series of questions. Mike told followers: " Lawyers can tell when you're lying in three steps." He explained: "Step one, we see what you're like when you tell the truth." ‌

He then offered a fake courtroom example, acting out a scenario. In Mike's demonstration, the lawyer would ask: "So how do you know my client?" ‌
