INDIANAPOLIS — The Cathedral Fighting Irish righted the ship Friday night following back-to-back losses to take a narrow 23-20 victory over Class 4A No. 1 Bishop Chatard.

Cathedral, ranked fifth overall in Class 5A, was already reeling from a blowout loss to Brownsburg two weeks ago and then a home loss to Cincinnati St. Xavier last week , but the Irish took the field Friday night determined to turn their season around.

Meanwhile, Bishop Chatard was looking to score their fourth straight victory and keep their undefeated record intact.

The Trojans jumped out to an early lead and carried that into halftime, with Chatard leading Cathedral 13-6 after two quarters of play.
