Patrick Mahomes will likely be without his top wide receiver from Super Bowl LIX when the Eagles visit the Chiefs.
Kansas City wide receiver Xavier Worthy was listed as “doubtful” for Sunday’s Super Bowl rematch, the Chiefs announced on Friday afternoon.
Worthy is still rehabbing from a dislocated shoulder suffered in the Chiefs’ Week 1 loss to the Chargers. Worthy and Travis Kelce collided on a crossing route in the 27-21 defeat.
Worthy has practiced in a limited capacity ahead of Sunday’s game. On Friday, video surfaced of Worthy wearing less padding on his injured right shoulder than he did earlier in the week. So there’s still a chance the 2024 first-round pick powers through and plays.
