Spanish Springs rolled to a dominating win Friday night in high school football while Bishop Manogue held off Reno and Reed edged West Park.

McQueen, Galena and Douglas also got wins, and in the Class 3A, Fallon shut out Sparks; Elko throttled Dayton, Lowry downed Wooster and Fernley raced past South Tahoe.

Truckee got back on the winning side in beating Spring Creek on the road, 22-14.

Spanish Springs senior quarterback Tyson McNeil threw for six touchdowns and ran for one in the Cougars’ 48-21 win over Pleasant Valley in Chico, California.

Bishop Manogue got out to to a 21-0 lead at halftime over Reno, then led 28-0 before the Huskies got going.

Manogue quarterback Brandon Mann was 19-for-27 passing for 289 yards and three touchdowns. He also ran 10 times for 42 yards.
