There will be a 'considerable' 999 and army presence at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) today, September 13.

All three emergency services and the military will be at the exhibition centre which is near Birmingham Airport .

They will be at the centre from 9am until 5pm - but there is no need to panic.

West Midlands Police said it was a planned drill to test "multi-agency response to a major incident".

A spokesperson for West Midlands Fire Service said: "There is a considerable emergency services presence around the NEC campus today, due to a significant multi-agency exercise.
