Neighbours say they are living in fear in a "lawless" area of Liverpool - with children setting fires, smashing homes and threatening people.

Those living in the Garston area of the city have told the Liverpool ECHO of the intimidation and terror they are experiencing as gangs of "feral" kids maraud around spreading fear and violence.

Groups of youths - some as young as six - have been seen regularly parading the streets with their hoods up while carrying knives.

Families are desperate to leave the area and are calling on police to step up and take action. The problems are mounting in an area that lies between the railway bridge in Church Road and the River Mersey.
