New energy-efficient LEDs have been installed on the A444 in Coventry . Signals on Jimmy Hill Way have been upgraded.

Bulbs used in the traffic lights on the A444 Jimmy Hill Way/Bell Green Road have been replaced. Signals have been upgraded with new energy-efficient LEDs.

As part of a wider improvement project, 54 signal heads were installed with new LED lights. It is hoped the new LEDs will 'improve visibility' on the A444 .

Switching from halogen lamps will also reduce energy consumption by as much as eighty per cent, according to Coventry City Council . It forms a key part of a wider decarbonisation project in the West Midlands.
