Gear up, it's showtime.

The 77th annual Emmy Awards organized by the Television Academy are taking place this weekend with some of year's top-rated shows including " Severance ," " The White Lotus ," and " The Penguin " in the running.

Nominations for this year's awards were announced July 14 during a live ceremony hosted by Harvey Guillén, Brenda Song and Television Academy Chair Cris Abrego.
