ATLANTA — Clemson football starting wide receiver Antonio Williams is out against Georgia Tech .
No. 11 Clemson (1-1) faces Georgia Tech (2-0) on Sept. 13 (noon ET, ESPN) at Bobby Dodd Stadium.
Williams suffered a hamstring injury in the first quarter in the team's Week 1 loss to LSU on Aug. 30. Clemson coach Dabo Swinney said he was "day-to-day," then the ACC's availability report stated he was questionable (uncertain to play; less than 50% chance). He was later downgraded to out.
Tyler Brown, who attended Greenville High School, will continue to play in place of Williams.
Starting left tackle Tristan Leigh (lower body), safety Khalil Barnes (hamstring) and offensive lineman Elyjah Thurmon are also out against Georgia Tech.
