Syracuse, N.Y. — Buy games and FCS matchups afford Power Four teams many opportunities. They’re allowed to experiment with schemes and personnel groupings, reduce snap counts for starters and make freshmen feel like part of the team.

Syracuse is a program that already plans to rely on freshmen in 2025, but Friday’s 66-24 win against Colgate allowed many to make an impact on the field.
