Prime Minister Mark Carney’s mask slipped just a little this week.

While discussing some consultations he’d conducted with business leaders, he reported that those leaders had two main concerns.

The first concern was dealing with and hopefully even reversing U.S. President Donald Trump’s tariffs. Fair enough. That’s a goal we can all get behind.

The second concern that Canada’s business leaders have, accordingly to Carney, is to ensure that the government continues to allow them access to “foreign labour” to fill jobs. That means temporary foreign workers.
