EasyJet passengers were ushered off a flight at Manchester Airport as emergency services were called in.

The flight was preparing to leave Terminal 1 for Lanzarote in the Canaries when the incident unfolded on Saturday, September 13.

Passengers on flight EZY 2029 were forced to disembark as safety checks were carried out.

The incident prompted an emergency services response.

Images posted on social media captured several emergency service vehicles on the tarmac.

It was sparked by an aircraft tug - a vehicle which moves planes on the ground as they do not have a reverse gear - that made contact with the front wheels.
