ST. LOUIS — A suspect was fatally shot by police Saturday morning after he pulled a firearm on officers, the St. Louis police department said on social media.
According to police, officers arrived just before 10 a.m. at the 3600 block of South Grand Boulevard, south of the intersection with Gravois Avenue, to investigate a report of a suspicious person. When officers parked their patrol vehicle to investigate, the man pulled a gun. Two officers then fired on him, police said.
The suspect's firearm was recovered at the scene, which is in the Gravois Park neighborhood of south St. Louis.
No officers were injured, the department said. The Force Investigation Unit is handling the case.
