Strong winds are expected to sweep through the county from tomorrow (Sunday).
A Met Office yellow alert will come into force at 8pm and remain in place until 6pm on Monday, with conditions set to be at their most severe during Monday morning.
Forecasters have warned that a prolonged spell of blustery weather could bring travel delays, power cuts and damage to property.
The warning covers much of the county, including Maidstone, Canterbury, Ashford, Thanet, Folkestone and parts of Swale, where gusts are expected to be strongest.
The Met Office said: “Gusts of around 50 – 60mph are likely around coasts and hills, with 70–80mph possible in the most exposed locations.
