LOS ANGELES – A man in his 20s was fatally shot in South Los Angeles Friday evening.

Officers received reports at 5:53 p.m. Friday regarding shots fired at 69th and Hoover streets, according to Los Angeles Police Department Officer Drake Madison.

The suspect got out of a white sedan that pulled up, fired at the victim, then got back in the car and fled, Madison said.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, Madison said.

It remained unclear what motivated the shooting.

The victim’s name was withheld pending notification of relatives.
