Guardians' manager could not be happier with Tanner Bibee's performance on Friday
The Cleveland Guardians handed Tanner Bibee the ball on Friday to start the first game of their three-game series against the Chicago White Sox . He was coming off a hard-fought win against the Tampa Bay Rays last Saturday and was looking to continue his win streak.
That is exactly what happened, as Bibee had a career night on the mound. He pitched a complete-game shutout, giving up just two hits and striking out 10 batters on 103 pitches thrown. This was his first career shutout, and helped his club move to 76-71 on the season.
