CLEVELAND, Ohio – Authorities say a youth was removed from Rocky River High School’s football game Friday night after brandishing a knife at students. No one was hurt.
Rocky River Police Lt. Matthew Blazer said the incident took place near halftime of the game between the Pirates and Valley Forge. Blazer said the student had a pocketknife.
“We took the necessary precautions and removed the juvenile from the game,” he said.
The boy is a middle-school student who does not attend Rocky River schools, the officer said. A parent later picked him up at the police station.
Blazer said police are in the initial stages of an investigation to determine whether charges will be filed. He said officers received conflicting stories.
