JEFFERSON DAVIS CO., Miss. (WLBT) - Eight individuals have been arrested or are charged in connection to the shooting death of 17-year-old Galvin Fortenberry.
Since the incident, the four other victims injured in the shooting have been released from the hospital.
According to the Jefferson Davis County Sheriff’s Office, they have made “significant progress” in the ongoing investigation, led by Investigator Vernon Dampier.
22-year-old Kendarrius Washington, 18-year-old Jayden Williams, and 19-year-old Javontae Williams face charges in connection with the murder of Fortenberry, in addition to other offenses.
The U.S. Marshals Service assisted the Jefferson Davis County Sheriff’s Office in the apprehension of these three suspects.
