EVANSTON, Ill. — In his first road start as Oregon’s starter, Dante Moore proved capable and nearly unflappable in a few critical moments at a unique and albeit unusually small venue.

Moore went 16 of 20 for 178 yards with a touchdown and interception while helping lead No. 4 Oregon in a 34-14 win over Northwestern at a soggy and windy Martin Stadium Saturday afternoon.

“I thought Dante played with poise all day,” Oregon coach Dan Lanning said. “Even the ball that was picked off, I think he’s making the right decision, just throwing that direction the wind was a real issue.”

Moore led a touchdown drive before halftime that was critical to swinging the momentum entirely in UO’s favor.
