Free meals, health screenings and other help will be available in Portland on Sunday as part of the annual Day of Dignity from the nonprofit Islamic Relief USA.
The event happens in major cities across the country to help homeless and low-income people access essential items and services. In Portland, Islamic Relief USA is partnering with Islamic Social Services of Oregon State 12-4 p.m. in the North Park Blocks between West Burnside Avenue and Northwest Couch Street offering housing and job resources, food, medical services, hair cuts, school kits, toiletries and other items.
