A Belle Plaine woman and mother killed in a Thursday crash in Le Sueur County is being remembered as having a “heart of gold.”
The crash was reported around 7:10 a.m. at the intersection of 211th Avenue and 320th Street in Derrynane Township. Mackenzie Glaser, 23, drove her Chevy Malibu through a stop sign on 211th and struck a Chevrolet Express van and trailer.
Glaser died at the scene. She was taking her one-year-old daughter to daycare at the time of the crash, with the toddler taken to a hospital for observation.
The three people inside the Chevy van were uninjured.
Glaser’s aunt recently created a GoFundMe to pay for funeral costs. Additional money raised will go toward Millie’s future education, according to the fundraiser.
