St. Thomas went on the road in Week 3 to face Division II Northern Michigan, and it left Marquette, Michigan, with a 20-7 win.

The Tommies struck first on a 13-yard touchdown pass to Eli Paulson in the first quarter. It wasn't until the third quarter that Northern Michigan responded to take a 7-6 lead.

St. Thomas began to find its offensive rhythm in the final 15 minutes. Veteran QB Andy Peters found Marc Coy for his second touchdown pass of the day to take a 14-7 lead with 6:10 to go. Tight end Patrick Wagner put the game on ice with a seven-yard touchdown reception with 1:28 left on the game clock.

Kicker Elliot Huether was 0 for 1 on field goals and 0 for 1 on extra points during Saturday's game. He's now 1 of 5 on field goals for the season and 8 of 9 on extra points.
