PHILADELPHIA — Isaiah Sategna noticed Tory Blaylock’s speed in spring practices and had a feeling the freshman running back was going to be a “special player” for Oklahoma.

Blaylock’s burst was on full display Saturday as he ran 14 times for 100 yards and two touchdowns, carrying the No. 13 Sooners’ ground game in a 42-3 victory over Temple at Lincoln Financial Field.

Three weeks into the 2025 season, the rookie rusher has exceeded all expectations, asserting himself as OU’s top running back amid a crowded room.

“I didn't know he was going to be that good,” Sategna said.
