Through the first three weeks of the season, a quick study of Class 6AI results reveals that only two of the 16 teams are 3-0.

At 3-0 are Jenks (with a 43-point scoring average) and Edmond Memorial (a 2024 semifinalist that opened this season by beating two good teams — Del City and Deer Creek — by a combined total of 63 points).

Defending 6AI champion Bixby is not 3-0 because the Spartans have played only twice (routs of Owasso and Sand Springs). Bixby’s third and final pre-district game is this week, when defending 6AII champion Choctaw visits on Friday.
