WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Drivers can expect lane closures along Woodlawn near Central and Douglas over the next two weeks.

City officials say southbound Woodlawn will close Monday, Sept. 15, just south of Central Avenue, for pipe and pavement repairs. That closure is expected to last about one week. Local traffic will be allowed from Central to 2nd Street. A detour will send drivers onto Central, Oliver, and Douglas streets.

The following week, on Monday, Sept. 22, northbound Woodlawn will close north of Douglas Avenue for the second phase of repairs. That closure is also expected to take about one week, with detours again using Douglas, Oliver, and Central.

Electronic message boards have been placed in the area to alert drivers ahead of the closures, the city says.
