ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Animal Humane New Mexico is highlighting one pup who got a second chance at life thanks to donations. Staff say Nola was found chained outside during a massive snowstorm, her paws, nose, and ears were black with frostbite.
They say Nola was in pain, but still wagged her tail at the sight of her rescuers. Nola received lifesaving care at Animal Humane and found her forever home.
The nonprofit says you can help animals in their shelter by donating. Animal Humane's Day of Giving is on September 26. Every dollar donated at the event will be matched by longtime donors, Julie and Jim Goodding.
