Alex Schenck beamed with pride, joy and pure elation.

The Collegiate School of Medicine and Bioscience coach nearly let his emotions overcome him when he saw the team standings Saturday afternoon at Forest Park.

"Last year we didn't have enough guys to score," Schenck said. "We knew they had a shot to do it and there was enthusiasm, but to come out and do it, I don't know. I'm getting choked up."

With a full team, the Owls gave a glimpse of what they're capable of by capturing the White Division team title of the Forest Park Festival boys cross country meet with 81 team points.

The White Division generally has smaller schools and developing programs in its field.
