EVANSTON, Ill. — Another week brought two more interceptions for Oregon linebackers.
Bryce Boettcher and Jerry Mixon, who Dan Lanning refers to as “sticks and picks” for their penchant for big hits and interceptions, each had takeaways that eventually led to touchdowns for the No. 4 Ducks in a 34-14 win over Northwestern Saturday afternoon at Martin Stadium.
“They understand where we need to be,” Lanning said. “They understand where the quarterback’s going to go with the ball. And they take advantage of it and they bait it.”
