SPRINGFIELD — Democrats adopted an all-encompassing platform for the next four years in their annual convention while the state’s elected politicians rallied for protecting health care, reproductive rights, immigrants and education cutbacks from White House politics.

The Democratic Party convention, held Saturday in the city’s MassMutual Center, brought a full slate of elected Democrats who united over fighting President Donald Trump’s policies and the cuts inflicted with the “Big Beautiful Bill.” They pressed for protections for the 15 million who will lose health insurance, the Social Security system and working-class families struggling with rising costs.
