LUBBOCK, Texas — A weather delay emptying the stands and soaking the field couldn’t save Oregon State football Saturday, as its 2025 season spun further out of control.
The Beavers (0-3) staggered through a 45-14 road loss to No. 21 Texas Tech (3-0), buried by self-inflicted errors, a lack of discipline on both sides of the ball, and general malaise which could linger well into the coming weeks’ games.
A trip to Oregon is next — perhaps the final game between the two rivals for a while — and it has all the makings of a complete rout. It feels less like a forthcoming rivalry game and more like a long-scheduled root canal for the Beavers.
