EAST LANSING, Michigan (WKBN) - Youngstown State football went on the road and battled tough, but fell 41-24 to Michigan State at Spartan Stadium on Saturday.
Michigan State is now 10-0 all-time against FCS opponents after the win.
YSU Quarterback Beau Brungard finished the day 24-of-34 passing for 242 yards and two touchdowns. He connected with RK Dandrige and Farrell product Kylon Wilson on touchdowns.
Sophomore Running back Jaden Gilbert also ran for a career-high 72 yards and a touchdown while also recording 58 receiving yards.
The Penguins led the game 3-0 at one point and cut it to a 14-10 deficit late in the first half, but the Spartans piled up 24 second-half points to pull away.
