LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - The annual truck convoy for the Special Olympics spread awareness and raised funds for athletes in Little Rock on Saturday morning.
The convoy started at FedEx Freight on Lindsey Road.
Trucking companies and drivers from more than a dozen companies across the state took part and were escorted in their convoy through Little Rock by the Arkansas Highway Police.
Through programming in sports, health, education and community building, Special Olympics Arkansas is changing the lives of people with intellectual disabilities, solving the global injustice, isolation, intolerance, and inactivity they often face.
After the convoy, participants were treated to a cookout at the FedEx Shipping Center.
