MADISON (WKOW) — An app designed to save lives is proving its worth in Madison. The PulsePoint app alerts users when someone nearby needs CPR, providing crucial help during cardiac emergencies.

"The doctors told me that they said, 'You're a miracle,' because really only one in 10 people who have cardiac arrest outside of a hospital survive," said Rokker, who prefers to go by his stage name.

On Dec. 26, 2024, Rokker had a heart attack while performing with his band Ironplow at the Gamma Ray Bar in Madison.

"Everyone from the 911, to the immediate responders, even the police that came, you know, and found out what was going on and were able to treat me just immediately, is the only way that I'm still talking to you today," said Rokker.
