JOHNSTOWN, Wis. (WKOW) — A 44-year-old man was killed in a motorcycle crash Sunday in the Town of Johnstown.

The crash happened at about 6:31 a.m. on E CTH A east of N CTH M, according to a press release from the Rock County Sheriff's Office.

The Rock County Sheriff's Office and the Walworth County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene.

The man was driving a Honda motorcycle eastbound on E CTH A, according to the release.

"The motorcycle failed to negotiate the sweeping left curve and struck a mailbox then power pole, and the operator was ejected," the release stated.

The man, whose name has not yet been released, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Speed was determined to be a factor in the crash.
