IOWA CITY — Iowa downed UMass 47-7 in its non-conference finale on Saturday.
The Hawkeyes (2-1, 0-0 Big Ten) held the Minutemen (0-3, 0-0 Mid-American) to just 119 yards of total offense and racked up 435 yards of offense (234 passing, 201 rushing) in the contest.

Ferentz stands alone
After 331 games, Ferentz won his 206 th game as Iowa’s head coach. Saturday’s win moved Ferentz into sole possession of first place among Big Ten coaches in all-time wins, besting Ohio State’s Woody Hayes.
Hayes managed 205 wins in 28 seasons as the Buckeyes' head coach, winning 76.1% of his games from 1951 to 78.
